Textiles, Embroidery and fabric-y experiments
Occasionally, when inspiration hits me, I find the motivation to pick up something old and give it new life. It started as a way to save my clothes, make them wearable after Iād inevitably thrown an entire cup of coffee at them, but despite its imperfections, became my gateway into altering, and renewing my fabrics so that they can carry on serving me for years to come.
Embroidery can be a way to reinforce your fabrics, mend holes and rips, cover stains, or merely decorate them in a style that is completely your own.
This modern world is so wasteful when it comes to clothing, so this is my way of fighting back against consumerism, and trying to live my life more sustainably, and importantly more whimsically too.
