Statement

My art is a way for me to connect with the world around me, specifically to nature from which we have become so separate.

I have a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts where I developed a greater understanding of my own goals in this world, as well as what I truly want to achieve with my art.

I’ve always been obsessed with water, growing up by the sea, water is like my second home. Whether I’m in said water, or simply near it, it is my happy place, and as I’ve grown this has only intensified. Almost everything I do especially within my art practice reflects this. I love to explore the mythologies surrounding water as told by our stories throughout history, the mystery that the seas and bodies of water evoked in our ancestors and the emotions that are felt with these. Despite the progress we’ve made in our understanding of the world around us, the magic of our world is not diminished, and I take great joy in trying to translate the sense of wonder and beauty that can be found in our world to my art. Scientific discovery and technology play a key role in my practice, and continue to deepen my appreciation for our earth, and the oceans we should be protecting.

I explore this through a mixture of mediums, primarily Photography and Videography, but also through painting, drawing, digital media and various other experiments. This is the place where all my work can come together as one practice in one place, all parts of the whole.

If you are interested in buying any of my work, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss.
